Poison Ivy, a prominent DC Comics villain, is characterized by her deep connection to the plant kingdom and her toxic touch. Originally Dr. Pamela Isley, a promising botany student, she underwent experiments that infused her with plant toxins, granting her control over plant life and rendering her skin poisonous.

Her first appearance was in Batman #181 (June 1966) created by Robert Kanigher and Sheldon Moldoff. As Poison Ivy, she uses her powers to protect plant life, often coming into conflict with humanity and Batman. Driven by environmental extremism, she sees humanity as a threat to nature.

Poison Ivy appeared as a character in *The Lego Batman Movie* (2017).
